Terms and conditions for using the AREO portal and registering for events.
Welcome to congress.areo2000.ro, operated by the Romanian Association for Excellence in Orthodontics (AREO). Accessing or using the website - including event registration and newsletter subscription - constitutes agreement with the terms outlined below. Please review them carefully for the best experience.
The AREO portal grants visitors limited personal access to view information, subscribe to updates, and enroll in AREO events. It does not permit modifying, reproducing, selling, or otherwise exploiting the site or its content without prior written approval from AREO.
By interacting with the site - visiting, registering, or emailing - you consent to receive electronic communications from AREO, including notifications delivered via email or on-site announcements.
Registration data is confidential and used strictly to administer the selected event and send relevant updates. AREO may provide data to authorities legally entitled to request it.
Registration and reservation details must be accurate. AREO may cancel entries if incorrect information is detected or if participants cannot be contacted using the provided details.
In line with Law 677/2001 and Law 506/2004, AREO processes personal data safely and solely for the stated purposes: event enrollment and reporting attendance to professional bodies that issue continuing medical education credits. Data is shared only with authorized organizations such as the College of Dentists of Romania (CMSR), contractual partners, and service providers.
Providing the requested data is mandatory to confirm attendance and receive professional credits. Refusal leads to registration cancellation and loss of credit eligibility.
By accepting these terms you consent to receive information about AREO services, events, and partner initiatives. You retain the rights of access, correction, objection, deletion, and the right to appeal to the courts. Requests can be sent via dated and signed email to areorto@gmail.com. Please notify us promptly if any personal details are inaccurate.
Participants agree to respect AREO's reputation and refrain from defamatory actions. AREO may promote its initiatives using photos or videos captured during events across social media, online platforms, and the association website. Attendance implies agreement with these promotional, educational, and communication efforts.
AREO uses secure payment methods to safeguard every transaction. Accepted options include:
a) Card payments: During checkout you are redirected to Netopia Payments. Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, and virtual cards are processed through 3-D Secure, ensuring no card data is stored on AREO or Netopia servers. Authentication occurs directly with Visa or Mastercard using the security code known only to the cardholder.
b) Bank transfer: You may transfer funds via your bank branch, internet banking, or in cash at the bank where AREO holds an account. Registration is confirmed once proof of payment is received. Use the following details when initiating the transfer:

Immediately after submitting the event registration form, the event management system issues a pro forma invoice based on the provided details. Once the bank confirms payment, AREO emails the fiscal invoice. Final invoices may be issued no later than the 15th day of the month following registration.
Romanian law governs these terms. Any disagreements between AREO and users will first be addressed amicably; unresolved matters fall under the jurisdiction of competent courts in Iasi, Romania.
Placing an order - registering for an event or paying a participation fee - constitutes full acceptance of these terms and conditions, equivalent to a signed contract. AREO may update the site or these terms at any time without prior notice. AREO is not responsible for errors arising from updates, settings, or external links. Third-party websites reached via areocongress.ro are the responsibility of their respective owners.
